Surfing (D)advice
PHYSICS JAM 2026 (South Africa) Entry
Your dad has decided it’s finally time to teach you how to surf.
There’s only one problem: his advice might not be as reliable as he makes it sound.
Pose your ragdoll surfer, hit play, and hope your stance survives whatever the ocean throws at you. What starts as a simple surfing lesson quickly gets stranger, with ramps, rails, breaking waves, clouds, impossible obstacles, and increasingly suspicious fatherly wisdom.
Across six levels, learn to balance, survive, and eventually master the wave.
Featuring:
- Physics-based ragdoll surfing
- Pose-before-you-play gameplay
- Six handcrafted levels
- Multiple results depending on how well you survive
- Father-and-son dialogue
- Questionable life lessons
- An ocean that becomes progressively less interested in the laws of nature
Credits
The music was composed by my friend Rivan. I'd link their work, but they're still mysteriously absent from the internet.

Lol, great! Took me a few turns of failing to realise I needed to pose the surfer when it was required - so pleased I stuck with it, nice one!
